MarineTech partners with Ultrasonic Antifouling Ltd, an English company that offers a new, revolutionary way to protect boats from fouling.
The company's Ultra System is a low cost, highly effective and pollutant-free method of keeping boat's hulls clear of fouling. The Ultra System is scientifically proven and works by emitting low powered ultrasonic frequencies from transducers placed on the inside of the hull. The hull carries the sound waves, creating a microscopic environment of moving water molecules over the the hull's profile. Build-up of growth is prevented as algae and micro-organisms cannot survive the ultrasonic frequencies.
Ultrasonic technology is superior to antifouling paints (which usually contain biocides or harmful toxins) and doesn't degrade over time. The following video explains the concept in more detail.
Ultrasonic Antifouling produces two systems, the UltraSystem Series II (which is available with 1 or 2 transducers), and the PowerPlus range, featuring the very latest technology and designed for larger boats or yachts moored in warmer climates where fouling is more prolific.
